As I mention in the video, pineapple upside down cake and I have a bit of a history. Yep in the good old days when I was at school we did some basic cooking ‘attempts’ and pineapple upside down cake was one of those. I made one, it was terrible and wobbly all over, plus by the time I walked home from school with it, I had flipped it several more times. Anyhow, i’m pleased to say I have mastered this cake now, and it is simply delicious with minimal ingredients. Give it a go and let me know how you get on!

  1. I burnt myself making this cake a i made caramel by myself when i was 9 thanks mum and then i spilt it on my hand

  2. I love this cake!
I do it a little different, instead of the butter and sugar to coat the mold I use butter and flour. Then I put the pineapple down and coat it with liquid caramel. the rest of the cake I do it the same way as you did. But like this the top layer tastes almost like pudding.
    Try it if you can.

  3. So, I wanted to make this recipe, but ended up translating the video… Oh well, I hope that someone will benefit from the translation 😉

  4. In your website in the cakes ingredients reads 100g caster sugar twice. At the beginning and in the end.

  5. When Barry pulled the lid off, and he said "Oh" I was hoping for a "my gosh." Bit disappointed really.
