Schlossberg: Hi this is Logan Schlossberg for Sex Education 101 here to talk about the Commission on the Status of Women and Planned Parenthood’s counter-protest that took place on March tenth and eleventh at the University of Kansas. Former president Amanda Shultz tells us why her group is here to focus on reproduction justice and gender equality.
Schultz: They come out every year to create a dialogue around the issue and we just want to make sure our presence is here so that we can get accurate and medically correct information out to our students.
Schlossberg: This student led organization paired up with Planned Parenthood to protest against Justice For All, a radical anti-choice group based in Wichita, who was protesting right next to them in front of Stauffer-Flint Hall.
KU student: I’m just really happy they’re here to give another opinion on the issue.
Schlossberg: While also giving out free condoms and free information about health care The Commission on the Status of Women and Planned Parenthood overall wanted to let students know that, Pro Choice is not anti life but pro life is anti choice. This is Logan Schlossberg, signing off.
