  1. I'm glad you chose to do a Source game even though players have the ability to do them because you found a lot more stuff here than I ever would have been able to notice. This is one of my favorites games and this was an awesome video!

  2. want to know how to noclip your self on any source game is easy open the console and type sv_cheats 1 and then type noclip and have fun

  3. The blown up image is what is called a sky box, this method is used commonly if not always used in source games to make a background for your source game!

  4. Also the ERROR's are models given to… Well… Nothing! If an object had a scripted point in the map but no model to show it that is what shows up, it's possibly just a script for the world that needs to be in the game

  5. You can use "sv_noclipspeed #" if you want to noclip slower, # being any value form 0.0000001 to 10000000

  6. The error is an object spawned into a world without an assigned model so source assigns it the error model and considering it appears throughout the game it's safe to assume it's just a central controller object housing a series of variables and such, it's a fairly common developer technique.

  8. Hi Shesez, loving the series. Most source games use red error models, including portal 2. However, there is a Scrapped turret in the game called a Laser turret, which still has some of its code in the game, and when it is spawned with cheats it appears as a blue error. So for some reason there may be a bunch of laser turrets in the maps. I might be wrong, but I know for a fact that the laser turret uses a blue error model.

    PS at 5:12 the song playing on the radio is Exile Villify, a song by the rather excellent band, The National. I recommend their songs: I should live in salt, and Terrible love.

  9. The trick with the miniature 'backdrop' is used throughout Valve games and maps in e.g. Counter-Strike. And its not actually a trick, its just how you do it 🙂 Like if you search for de_dust mini, you will see people thinking its a mini version of the maps, when its actually just the skybox (what its called, more or less)

  10. It's crazy how they added that detail to Wheatley and Glados with the water effect. That was very creative of valve!
