You will learn about “Balanced Diet” in this video. A diet, which contains all the nutrients, namely carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, minerals and fats in right amounts, is called a balanced diet. It should also contain sufficient amounts of dietary fibre and water.

Every nutrient plays a different and important role in our body. Carbohydrates and fats provide energy to the body. So, foods rich in these nutrients are called energy giving foods. Proteins help in the growth and repair of the body parts. So, foods rich in proteins are called body building foods.

Vitamins and minerals protect our body from various diseases. So foods which are rich sources of vitamins and minerals are called protective foods.

Dietary fibres are essential in our diet, since they help us to get rid of the undigested food.

Lastly, water plays a very important role in our body. It helps to get rid of the liquid waste in the form of urine and sweat. It also helps our body to absorb the dissolved nutrients.

Hence, we should make sure that we have a balanced diet for the proper growth and maintenance of our body.

  1. We're is the kids parents? Also he just drank ONE bottle of the milk and just magically got strong!!!! You probably have to drink a lot of bottles of milk but he just magically got strong!!! But great vid this helped me A lot!!!

  2. I am not tring to  be rude but bannas contain about 800 grams of potasim and with  that much you shoud only eat 1or 2 bannas a day or else your circilory system [that's the system that carrys  blood  to the parts that need it ] will start to slow down
