  5. I'm over 50 and have terrible tendonitis in my elbows. I believe it's from moving plates around. There's a lot of grip strength involved in that. I took a month off to let my elbows heal and have been working out with machines during my "comeback". I hardly notice my tendonitis anymore. It's not ideal, but in my case it's all I can do.

    I also use straps on back day. I just can't work out like I could when I was in my thirties. But by remaining tendonitis free, I can still hit it pretty hard.
