  1. The fact that it is Herring from the Baltic sea should tell you not to touch it. It is the most polluted filth pond you can get fish from, other than a sewer. The Baltic sea hasn't seen fresh water for millennia and the concentration of antibiotics and chemicals from Agriculture is high enough, that most fish stores are forced to inform you of the dangers, of eating fish from there…DON'T touch it.
    Apparently Surstromming is not supposed to look like soup, must be the imported cans that are out of date or transported improperly. Still, it is NOT good for you at all.

  2. They should have it served the proper way which is with flat bread, onions, potatoes and yoghurt and see if they would enjoy it more.
