100% Whole Wheat Bread With Sour Dough Starter Recipe :
1/3 cup liquid Whole Wheat flour Starter
3 cups Whole Wheat Flour
Salt to taste
3 tablespoons Maple syrup
2 1/3 cups water
3 tablespoons olive oil or any cooking oil
Combine one tablespoon each of flour and water in a tall, glass jar and keep it for 24 hours.
Add one Table spoon each of flour and water every 24 hours until the mixture becomes frothy and it is ready to use.
Bread Recipe :
Combine starter, oil, maple syrup, salt and water.
Add flour and mix, let the mixture stand for ten minutes uncovered.
Knead the dough for 15 to 20 minutes, cover and let it rise for two to three hours.
Fold the dough on floured surface and put it back to rise for another hour.
Fold the dough into a roll stretching and folding.
Put the dough into a bread pan.
Grease the top of the bread and sprinkle sesame seeds.
Let it rise for an hour or more.
Bake at 350 degrees in preheated oven for 45 to 60 minutes until the top is golden brown.
Let it cool on a wire rack for half hour or until completely cool to touch.
Cut and enjoy the bread.
Makes one bread loaf.
