How I Put Movie Clips in my Videos || Truly Social with Tara Hunt

This week, I’m covering the second most frequently asked question I get on my videos – the first being, “How do you get away with using clips in your videos?” (video here That question is:

How do you put movie clips in your videos?

Though the process, itself, is pretty simple, I thought I’d go through everything from WHY I do this (it’s the way my brain works) to WHERE I find them to HOW I physically download and integrate them.

  1. Clicked on your vid in order to learn how to put movie clips in my videos. I did not click on your vid to hear your life story about what inspired you to do this or that….shut up and just get to the point. People don’t care about your life. You enjoy hearing yourself talk. Shut up and this video would have lasted 57 seconds and accompanied the same thing.

  2. is keepvid safe to use? because it said to put in a thing called Java in it and people been saying that Java has virus in it and people been saying to update Java but i dont know how to i really want to put in Harry Potter clips in my videos but i still dont know if keepvid is even safe……

  3. Greetings from Canada!

Thank you very much for this video. I'm a subscriber now. I just wanted to give you a bit of constructive criticism. Please don't take it the wrong way. I just mean to help.

I noticed that your camera hunts for focus and 'breathes' a lot. That can be distracting as it takes viewers out of the moment and they can miss your message. I see that you are going for the blurry background look. There are a couple of things you can do to to reduce 'hunting' for focus:

1- Use a deeper depth of field by stopping your lens down. This means you may need to move further away from your background to keep it blurry.

2- use manual focus. Pre-set your focus. If you have an external monitor with focus peaking, that would give you an indication when things go wrong.

You might ask where my content is. Most of it is private because I use my YouTube channel to deliver finished content to clients. I will be putting out tutorials and reviews in the near future.

  4. I want to make fandom edits of movies and a TV show… most of the scenes are on YT but I never know if it's okay to use them… also because I'd use a couple of clips so the video would be about 3-4 minutes long. Is it okay to use YT clips when they have a watermark (e.g. "Movieclips")? and is it OK when I tell the people that I don't own anything in the description box? And something I'm always worrying about is what music I can use… Would be very happy if you could help me!

  5. I have a question one of my subscribers want me to recreate a makeup look another youtube created. How can put clips of another creator video on my video? I hope that makes sense

  6. Hello Ma'am it was a very helpful video. I have a doubt though, when we use videos from Movieclips and Imdb, isn't that copyright infringement. Will giving attribution be enough? My channel is new and budding, plz do reply.

  7. I'm confused. You're taking clips from movies, and crediting… the Youtube clips? Kind of a pointless feedback loop rather than giving credit to creators..
