STOP PAYING FOR YOUR HOME PHONE – Let Google do it for Free!

Sorry for the wait! This video is all about finally cancelling your ancient home phone line through your cable company, and how to keep it through Google Voice for free! It also touches on how I cut my bill in half after my cable company doubled it every month, and even tripled my internet speed while I was at it!

  1. Wellllll, everything online is a matter of public knowledge (forever). So as long as you like your conversations recorded – no problem.

  2. You mentioned purchasing the SIM and then returning it for a refund. Sounds easy BUT… Did you need to have a spare cell phone to put the new SIM in in order to port it over or was there info on the SIM package that allowed you to port the number over without having a prepaid phone? Please help. Thx!

  3. I am from UK, was so excited to get Google Voice after watching this vide; only to realise its only available in USA

  4. Beats the hell out of Xfinity, just our internet for 750Mbs down and 110Mbs up is over a hundred dollars. Plus you only get 15Gb per month. I made a wifi Cantana and I'm getting internet from 5 miles away for free now

  5. Actually, as a former MagicJack user, they jacked their price to nearly $30 a month, causing me to even drop them. I now use a free app on my unregistered cellphone that is only used on wifi. Therefore, I only have phone as long as I am connected to my wifi. But, since I really don't go anywhere, and I don't make that many calls, it all works out fine. The ONLY problem I've discovered with the free phone app is the 911 system is unavailable. Therefore, I do have to use my internet to contact 911. Not the best emergency access, but it works.

  6. excellent !!! what do you think of Obi1062? I am interested in buying IP phone and obihai so I am considering both. please advise!

  7. Google being one of the most personal information collecting service there is makes me wonder if I could trust the box does not also record everything happening in my house. I don't trust Google since it was proven they filter content to youtube and web searches based upon their political preferences. Do the homework.

  8. Lol, who cares about sending emergency data to police. Most people never need that, and if they do; 99% of people know exactly where they are.

    IE; “Safeway in Salina CA”.

    That works right?

  9. We actually use this, but you're wrong about the other 2,you do not need a pc to use them! They run off wifi or ethernet cable. That was false info.

  10. Is there anybody out there who has any idea what this guy is saying? My Doctorate is in music … wah …!!!

  11. I made the move about 4 years ago with Obihai and Google…..FREE is good and the service is outstanding 99.5% of the time.
