  1. If these were the top 10 opera arias (such a subjective selection !) it would have been better to select some quantitatively good singers! Having sniped enough, I’ll leave the linguistic disasters aside. We love the art form and hate to see it misrepresented to younger generations in the form of Broadway plays and singers who can’t sing in an operatic fashion

  2. So sorry you did not take the time to find out that Carmina Burana is not an opera but an Oratorio. Maria Callas name was mispronounced, as well as so many others…You'r French was much better! Selections were fine, just narration was lacking.

  3. This stupid video come close to being shit. The pronunciations are just horrible. I can't imagine anyone having a positive introduction to Opera with this inane video. Too bad!

  4. The commentator takes great care with his pronunciation but his La Bo Hem is a shame (he gets it right second time around.) His Maria cal LAS is also a little strange. The commentary could do with re-recording, sorry to be negative but it does spoil things.

  5. it's like shut the f*ck up, we don't need so much banal commentary, we want to hear the music, mojo doesn't disappoint when ruining it's actual productions.

  6. Not a bad list, I personally love the opera but tbh it just made me want to listen to the songs without this guy talking over it…

  7. Omg, could you please SHUT THE FUCK UP while It's music playing? I can't hear a fucking thing while you're talking!

  8. The person narrating sounds like a kid. He also doesn't know classical music. He mispronounces "cantata" "Turandot" and "Giacomo." An embarrassment to have someone like him even talking about these great works.

  9. Am I the only one who prefers the first queen of the night aria? It's just so much more beautiful and has much more demanding coloraturas, while still having a high F
