Hey guys, what’s up! Today I want to bring you a quick and easy workout that was designed as a key component to the NEW workout program, Abs After 40… I like to call this workout, “Functional Cardio Day”.

Now this is important for you guys over 40 to watch because if you have experience with other workout systems such as P90X or Insanity, you’ve probably encountered or heard feedback from others stating that catastrophic injuries are often experienced with these systems.

The high-impact nature of those programs can lead to serious joint, ligament and muscle tear damage that will not help you lose weight at all – In fact, these types of injuries will more than likely keep you fat and out of shape. Now I am not saying that high-impact movements are a complete waste of time but when it comes to men over 40, there is simply a better way to achieve the fat-burning effect you need without the risk of blowing out a knee, twisting an ankle or busting a hip.

Functional cardio days are GREAT for guys who are looking to burn body fat fast without the need to perform any high impact movements that, more often than not, lead to ligament or joint damage… And what’s even better is that you can do this workout right at home – there’s no equipment required on functional cardio day.

With these quick, low-impact exercise intervals your entire body will get worked – leading to faster, more effective weight loss than wasting hours chained to a piece cardio equipment. You’ll get it in and be done in 15 minutes or less.

The exercises we will be performing will be:
1. lateral lunges
2. decline push-ups
3. reverse plank kicks
4. bench dips
5. shoulder touch planks

Workout Breakdown:

– Lateral lunges for 10

– Decline push-ups for 10

– Reverse plank kicks for 10

– Bench dips for 10

– Shoulder touch planks for 10

– Round 2, fellas!

– And here we go, final round… Round 3.

  1. roids 100℅ not possible after a certain age to produce the levels of testosterone to produce that amount of muscle even if you were at it your whole life,,,for godsake matt serra an ex ufc fighter and athlete all his life came out and talked about how he has had to go on TRT to help with building more muscle because he's gotten older

HAHAHA, this guy is supposed to be a work out "expert" did three reps of his work outs and looks like he is ready to die, and he expects us to (just follow along) and you'll be fine, although I must admit he is in great shape and wish I looked like that, but if he looks like he's ready to die after just 3 rep's and he's in shape, I think I would be screwed lol 8=)

    serious concern for males over 40 that might consider anything concerning testosterone.

  6. I do a pilates abs workout done by Mari Winsor at Winsor Pilates, I recommend it highly. I work very hard outside daily and it is a no brainer if one is looking for great abs real quick. Not so much cardio though.

  7. Yeah, I just turned 42, and I think it might be time for me to say goodbye to Shaun T. I'm going to focus on eating clean and lifting more.

  8. Hi Mark i would like to thank you i am getting married in 2 months and i wanted to lose some weight and tone up. I was 104.9kg 9 days ago and i am now as of this morning 102.5kg. Not only that my stomach is half the size and my girlfriend has all ready commented that my body is feeling harder and i can feel it too. I have been doing 2 reps once a day of your smart cardio and A40. As well as that i have deen doing a lot of walking. Sure i have also cut back the beer too but i still have had about 6 beers in the last 9 days. My goal is to be 95kg for my weeding. I should mention i am tall 191cm or 6" 3". Thanks so much for your help i have confidence now that i can reach my 95kg goal for my weeding day.

  9. I have did this for a few weeks now. You will for sure be winded if take small rests. I do this workout after my 100 rep 12 minute burpee challenge. I still can't do 100 burpees in 12 minutes. I can so only 80. Screw the weights, at 49, my donger is rock hard again in the morning. I do the burppees challenge and also this stuff. My body is geting tight by just using my body weight. I will for sure keep this shit up!!! Nothing but Yeah!!!!!!!#

  11. This was great, thanks, I have been researching "exercise over 40" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about – Fanlevi Immaculate Eradicator – (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my co-worker got excellent success with it.

  13. I am 54, drive semi truck for living. Going to give your workout program a try. Recovering from shattered shoulder injury Dec 2016 realized how out of shape I am will post later 6 months to let you know how things are going.
