GoPro: Red Bull Stratos – The Full Story

go pro

October 14, 2012, Felix Baumgartner ascended more than 24 miles above Earth’s surface to the edge of space in a stratospheric balloon. Millions across the globe watched as he opened the door of the capsule, stepped off the platform, and broke the speed of sound while free falling safely back to Earth. Felix set three world records that day—and inspired us all to reach beyond the limits of our own realities, and reimagine our potential to achieve the incredible.
GoPro was honored to be a part of this epic achievement, with seven HERO2 cameras documenting every moment. From the airless freeze of outer space, to the record-breaking free fall and momentous return to ground—see it all through Felix’s eyes as captured by GoPro, and experience this incredible mission like never before. No one gets you closer than this.

  1. What happened to the balloon? Has he been recovered?
Did he fall or fall with parachutes? Got any pictures of him after the fall?

  2. what if he had passed out and didn't regain consciousness in time to pull the parachute… that woulda been gnarly.

  3. Gopro or someone from the audience could answer me if these cameras had some kind of special protection lens that adapted to the camera to be able to record from outside?

  4. yet another fake video by NASA, if you look what happens to meteor you should know this fake, any way you should know there is no space station, no satellite, strong engine power as the mentor that's how much the going need, if they got to space even so … you remember what happen to mentor when it gets inside the atmosphere destroyed almost nothing left.
NASA use CGI look up what CGI is if you don't know and made their hair so it looks like you up side down question a hair stylist

I don't know if the earth is flat or not, NASA keeps hiding the truth but why would they go so far that I do wonder.

  5. Albina and Tsyganka (Soviet space dogs) were both ejected out of their capsule at an altitude of 85 km (52.8 miles) and landed safely. Albina was one of the dogs shortlisted for Sputnik 2, but Laika was selected instead.
